The neighborhood
Lakeridge grew up around LakeRidge Country Club. Its first plat, Lakeridge Country Club Estates, was recorded in 1977 and covers about 281 acres between 82nd Street and 98th Street, from Slide Road east to Quaker Avenue. A second section south of 98th Street, recorded in 2003 as Lakeridge Estates of Lubbock and called Lakeridge South by its association, adds about 82 acres between Topeka Avenue and Quaker Avenue.
Together the two sections hold about 1,300 single-family homes, with the golf course and a city lake inside the original section. Both share the 79424 ZIP code. In appraisal and listing records the sections appear as Lakeridge Country Club Estates and Lakeridge Estates of Lubbock.
Homes and lots
Most lots in the original section are between about 6,100 and 14,300 square feet, with a median of about 10,400, roughly a quarter acre. Lots in Lakeridge South are much the same, with a median of about 10,000 square feet.
The Lubbock Central Appraisal District’s market values give a sense of the range. In the original section the median is about $463,000, one home in ten is valued below about $303,000, and the highest is around $2 million. In Lakeridge South the median is about $566,000. These are appraisal values as of October 2026, not sale prices.
LakeRidge Country Club
The club, at 8802 Vicksburg Avenue, is private and run by Arcis Golf. Its 18-hole course was designed by Billy Martindale and Don January, and the club has practice facilities, a clubhouse, a pool and tennis courts. Membership is sold separately, in Golf and Social categories, so ask the club about current terms.

School districts
Lakeridge is split between two school districts. The original section, north of 98th Street, is in Lubbock ISD, and addresses there look up to Smith Elementary, Irons Middle School and Coronado High School. Lakeridge South is in Lubbock-Cooper ISD, with Central Elementary and Laura Bush Middle School. Its high school is Liberty High School for the classes of 2027 to 2030, and Lubbock-Cooper High School for the class of 2031 and younger from the 2027-28 school year.
